Abstract | A study was conducted to determine if the chlorsulfuron tolerance existing in barley could be improved with the use of in vitro tissue culture. Differential herbicide concentration led to variable culture response for callus culture.
Plants regenerated from callus culture were evaluated for chlorsulfuron tolerance in the greenhouse. Regenerants showed improved tolerance when compared to the control or unselected tissue culture-derived lines. |
