Abstract
The need to estimate accurately the heat and moisture flow through openings arises increasingly in the design of special purpose refrigerated and air-conditioned spaces. There is the associated problem of inhibiting such heat and moisture transfer. In this paper, relationships which are applicable to many of these problems are presented, along with charts to facilitate the calculations. The application of the charts to various types of problems is demonstrated.
