Abstract
This report summarizes the outcomes of a workshop on lighting and health held in conjunction with the 2007 conference of the International Commission on Illumination (CIE). It records discussions concerning photobiology fundamentals, recommendations for expanding knowledge in support of the five "Principles of Healthy Lighting" set out in CIE Publication 158:2004, "Ocular lighting effects on human physiology and behavior," and general research requirements.
