Abstract | A method of constructing streamlines in three dimensions using two scalar fields is described. Values of the scalars are obtained using a numerical scheme to solve a couple pair of pseudo-Poisson equations. Level values of the two scalars correspond to stream surfaces. An edge-and-face tracking scheme for constructing streamlines from the scalars is described. Some examples of the use of 3-D stream functions are presented and discussed. |
