Abstract | The general aim of this part of the investigation, now reported, is to study the application of the prevention of fire as a determinant of space between buildings in residential areas and to develop specific methods for the application of these standards. This particular field of investigation was chosen because of the critical nature of fire safety and because information was more readily available than for some of the other community objectives. The first part of this investigation consists of three field surveys of actual residential development in Metropolitan Vancouver. |
