Abstract | A time-lapse camera used to determine the pattern of use of artificial lighting in an open-plan office took a photograph every 6 min. recording the time of day, instantaneous lighting power load and the occupancy over a period of 45 working days. Between 0800 and 1700 h. 85 per cent of the total daily average lighting energy was consumed. Very little use was made of a two-zone switching facility. Possible conservation measures are discussed. |
