| Abstract | Performance and handling trials have been made on a Bell HTL-4 helicopter in hovering and low speed flight in a simulated icing cloud. The performance of this type of helicopter is shown to be extremely susceptible to small amounts of rotor blade icing, although no serious handling difficulties were encountered. |
