Abstract | A frequency calibration method is developed to characterize the frequency accuracy of the commercial microwave generator (MWG) used in the programmable Josephson voltage standard at the National Research Council Canada. The approach allows the evaluation of the MWG performance at 9.2 and 18.4 GHz with fractional frequency uncertainty at 10¹⁴. The method also validates the MWG frequency resolution and setting accuracy from millihertz to megahertz to gigahertz. |
