| Abstract | In a previous study an evaluation was made of the use of dust to accelerate the melting of ice covers on lakes and rivers in Canada. In that study it was concluded that under some conditions ice dusting will accelerate the melting of ice, but that field trials were required to prove the feasibility of the technique. The results of this analysis and the conclusions obtained from the ice dusting trials are recorded in this report. |
