Abstract	As part of the Standard Hut Project of the Division of Building Research, a small test hut was erected at Fort Churchill, Manitoba in November 1950, with the co-operation of the Dept. of National Defence and the Defence Research Board. This test hut was built to be as nearly identical as possible to similar huts located at Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and Ottawa, Ontario, with the view that comparison of performance between huts would provide information on the effects of different climatic conditions.
