Abstract | The effects of iron addition on the hydriding properties of Mg 6Pd were investigated. It was found that 15 min of co-milling Mg 6Pd and Fe in a high energy mill was sufficient to improve the sorption kinetics. Rietveld refinement of neutron powder diffraction patterns indicated that the presence of iron drastically modifies the system's micro-structure. A possible link between structure and hydrogen storage properties is discussed. © 2010 Professor T. Nejat Veziroglu. Published by Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved. |
