Abstract | The radiative width of the 6+ resonance at Eα = 5.06 MeV in the 16O(α, γ)20Ne reaction has been measured to be ωγ = 1.30 ± 0.20 eV corresponding to a transition strength of 20 ± 3 W.u. for the 6+ to 4+ transition in 20Ne. Comparison is made to rotational and shell model predictions. |
