| Abstract | The sealing of expansion joints has become more and more important in precast construction in recent years. At the beginning of the 50's these problems were given less attention and builders were satisfied with the application of traditional jointing plaster, or possibly plastic jointing substances. About 1955 a change began to take place in the qualitative choice of sealing materials, as a consequence of numerous failures. |
