| Abstract | We demonstrate inverse-designed mode converters with conversion efficiencies higher than 98.3% and insertion losses below 0.07 dB at the wavelength of 1.55μm. Despite their compact footprints, simulation results show tolerance to fabrication errors up to 10 nm under/over etch. |
