Abstract | Compressive strength values for 243 cubes and 161 cylinders of 3 type N field mortars all met the requirements in recently published Canadian field tests for mortars. 3x6 inch cylinders or 2 inch cubes specimens can be used for compressive strength tests on field mortars. Field mortar values are lower than control mortar values. The largest single factor in the strength reduction is the higher water content of field mortars. |
