| Abstract | An investigation into how to manage IMD's network using Bay Networks' Optivity was needed. IMD has a switched network comprised on one LattisSwitch 28115, 8 28xx series LattisHubs and 2 Cisco routers. There are approximately 120 PC clients, 8 VMS machines (including 3 servers), and two NT servers. There was also a need at the Institute to develop a database to handle directory listing files generated by VMS to facilitate the move of data from 9" reels to WORM disks. |
