Abstract
The paper discusses product assessment issues for new and innovative construction products. It provides examples to highlight the complexity of assessing new products. It describes the evaluation strategy and process used by the Canadian Construction Materials Centre (CCMC) to establish the performance and 'suitability-for-use' of innovative products.
