| Abstract | In view of the lack of systematic information covering the particular range of fans burled in wings which are being proposed as a means of vertical take-off, a rig has been built to study their performance.
The rig is described, and its capabilities outlined. Results of the first series of tests are presented in a preliminary way. The memorandum is intended as a progress report only, and no conclusions can be presented at this stage. |
