| Abstract | In a previous report (No. PAA-6) information is given concerning the aerodynamic pitching moments on full sized aircraft skis. These monents give rise to considerable forces in the trimming cables at the front and rear of the skis. The Air Ministry is sending a Hawker "Audax" to Canada for winter trials and in view of its high performance and maneuverability some method of aerodynamically reducing the magnitude of the pitching moments on the skis is desirable when they are fitted to this aircraft |
