Abstract | When carbon-13 is used as the isotopic tracer in biosynthetic studies, the labelled atoms in the metabolite can often be determined by n.m.r. spectrometry, without need for chemical degradation. By this technique we have studies the biosynthesis of sepedonin in cultures of Sepedonium chrysospermum. |
