Abstract | NFIRAOS, the first-light adaptive optics system for the Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT), has a cooled optical enclosure at -30 deg C with an evacuated, double-pane window to allow light in. NFIRAOS has chosen a radiative baffle design between the windows to mitigate frosting of the outer window and to avoid convective turbulence on either window. Here, we present the design of the baffle and the non-sequential analysis showing sufficient radiation rejection. |
