| Abstract | This memorandum describes a series of tests on a conventional gas turbine nozzle blade under conditions similar to those encountered in the N.R.C. Fan-in-Wing scheme.
Total pressure losses and air efflux angles have been measured within a small range of incidence on two designs of blade» The effect of a, constant span, aspect ratio change of one design has also been briefly investigated.
Results have shown that the conventional blade nozzle compared favourably with the "flat-plate" design the total pressure losses being 6.4% and 8.36% respectively. Mean air efflux angles have been found to be within 2½° of the design value under all conditions tested.»» |
