Abstract	The Cost-effective Open-Plan Environments (COPE) study was designed to investigate the effect of open-plan office design on the indoor environment, and on occupant satisfaction with that environment. To conduct this investigation, COPE employed literature reviews, lab. studies, computer simulations, and field studies. This document reports on computer simulations to investigate the effect of office design on the luminous environment in open-plan space, for a variety of lighting designs.
