| Abstract | During the period May to September 1957, development work was continued on a thermocouple-slipring system f or measuring turbine blade temperatures on an Orenda XIV two-stage turbine to the state where reasonably consistent results could be obtained from test-bed engine runs. These results revealed that the N.A.E. reheat system cooled the first stage blades a maximum of approximately 140°C in the immediate region of the Impinging reheat fuel· The second stage blades received negligible cooling. |
