Abstract	This paper summarizes the result of an experimental investigation carried out to examine thespray characteristics of a fuel injector from a kerosene-fired military cooking burner. The objective was to reduce combustion noise by identifying changes in the fluid dynamics and spray field of the burner. It was also intended to generate a detailed data set that can be used to validate primary and secondary atomization models.
