| Abstract | The temperature distribution in the efflux behind a jet-engined aircraft on the ground is of interest to those concerned with airfield operations and installations.
An unreheated CF-100 jet fighter was placed on a concrete taxi-strip at various distances ahead of an 18-ft. high mast holding an array of thermocouples. Measurements were made of the temperatures in the jet efflux. They are presented in this report in the form of temperature rises above ambient at the atmospheric conditions during the test, and it is suggested that they may be safely applied to other ambient conditions. |
