Abstract
Performance standards for space and site planning for dwellings are of concern to the Division of Building Research in its work in connection with the National Building Code and in its housing research. Further work now in progress includes consideration of the factors involved in space and site planning. This additional information, together with the results of field observations of current practices, is being studied in an attempt to establish performance standards as a basis for improved regulations covering land use in residential development.
