Abstract | A knowledge of the effects of moisture content on the thermal conductivity of building materials is important in assessing the thermal performance of many building systems. The subject is a complex and difficult one with many facets. It is important therefore to be fully aware of the work of others. This paper is particularly useful in this respect since it is a review of literature on the subject, most of which is European. In this report the author critically reviews the work of the various investigators and summarizes the results in a useful table of practical values. |
