| Abstract | This report describes an experiment program to study the effect of buoyancy on ice/hull interaction. Experiments were conducted in the Ocean Engineering Centre at B.C. Research using synthetic ice blocks of four specific gravities. Video and still photographs were used to document the trajectory of the blocks after they had been released under the bow of a typical icebreaker. |
