Abstract | A combination of several simple, practical tests were used as a procedure for evaluating integral and surface waterproofers for concrete. The tests were selected on the basis of the various possible moisture conditions that might pose problems in the field, and consisted of: (a) the dry-cup test for vapour permeability, (b) saturated permeability under a small head, (c) capillary absorption test, (d) evaporation test, and (e) combined capillary-evaporation test. The tests were limited to isothermal conditons, one cement, two mixes, and a limited number of waterproofing agents. |
