Abstract	This report describes the results of a comparative physical model study of offshore evacuation systems, conducted at the Institute for Marine Dynamics (IMD), Offshore Engineering Basin during the months of August and September, 1996. Four evacuation systems, (Davit, PrOD, Seascape and Freefall) were used to deploy a Totally Enclosed Motor Propelled Survival Craft (TEMPSC) from three different semisubmersible loading conditions (even keel, damage and extreme damage) into two different regular waves with headings of 0° and 45° (Head, Quartering). The objective of the study was to evaluate the offshore evacuation systems for smoothness of delivery of the TEMPSC to the water, their ability to work when the semisubmersible was at even keel, damage and extreme damage conditions, and the ability of the TEMPSC to move away from the semisubmersible.
