| Abstract | The investigations described were undertaken for the purpose of obtaining information on the behaviour of glued laminated beams ("Hetzer-Balken") under severe fire conditions. To this end, beams were produced of different cross-section with different glues and exposed to fire with temperature increases according to the standard temperature curve of DIN 4102. Shortly after the fire test the remaining flexural strength of the beam was determined primarily with a view to obtaining information on the strength and stability of the glues employed when subjected to heat. |
