Abstract
The boattail drag of an F404 turbojet engine, installed in No. 5 test cell of the Engine Laboratory, has been calculated, based on pressure measurements taken on the exhaust nozzle's surface. In addition, relative pressure profiles along the nozzle were presented. The boattail drag, while small in relation to the measured scale force, should be taken into account in accurate calculations of the engine's gross thrust.
