Abstract | An outline is given of the analytical basis for the use of several gamma channels in 4πβ−γ anti-coincidence counting for absolute radioactivity measurements. This approach offers the possibility of linearizing counting data for complex β−γ decay which may also involve β-branching to the daughter nucleus ground state or pure β-decay from an admixed species in tracer measurements. The procedures needed for multidimensional data analysis are also summarized. |
