| Abstract | Oxides of the K2NiF4 structure type have been studied to investigate their compatibility as possible cathodes for solid oxide fuel cells. Compositions of Ln2Nil_xCOx04+d have been characterized using X-ray powder diffraction and dilatometry measurements giving information on the thermal expansion and sintering of these materials. From the in-situ diffraction studies significant structural modifications were noted and the onset of sintering for each material identified through the dilatometry measurements. |
