Abstract | Three different feed horn antennas for radio astronomy applications are presented in this paper. Feed structures including Choked ring horn, conical corrugated horn, and exponentially shaped quad-ridged horn are designed and simulated. Circular waveguide with same diameter is used for exciting the dominant TE 11 mode in the input of all proposed antennas. The performance of each feed horn regarding the beamwidth, gain, cross polarization and side lobe levels are investigated in Q-band frequency range. |
