| Abstract | Test cell number 5 is used to run gas turbine engines of different types and models. It is therefore necessary to have the capability of selecting different fuels to accommodate various test and engine requirements. Fuel is supplied from either of three storage tanks situated outside of the laboratory.
This test cell is also equipped with an auxiliary tank which will supply fuel for a safe shut down of the engine, on the event of a power failure. Operating and maintenance procedures are described for all of the fuel system components. |
