Abstract | An HF antenna system has been developed for the Restigouche DDE257 destroyer escort conversion class. For both the interim and final ASROC conversions the transmitting system consists of one broadband 2 to 6 mc/s twin-fan antenna, two aft-mounted 35-foot whips and one forward-located 35-foot whip. The receiving system consists of two side-mounted fan antennas, one forward below the bridge deck and the other aft below the deck. |
