Abstract | This paper discusses the state of the art for modeling the capsize survivability of damaged ships. The minimum technical requirements for the construction of the model, the generation of waves, the conduct of the experiments and the presentation of the results and their validity are discussed. Some suggestions for areas of further research in this extremely important area of ship hydrodynamics are also given. |
