Abstract | This report summarizes the results of the work completed in Phase I of the CCG-funded project: Aids to Navigation Design and Review. In general, this project involves the development of a tool to help quantify navigational risk to support the design of marine short range navigational aid systems. Phase I of this project includes a review of currently available guidelines and tools for the design of navigational aid systems and waterways, as well as the preliminary development of the Navigational Risk Identification Module (NRIM). |
