Abstract | We discuss a triband avionic that has the capability to independently verify Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast (ADS-B) targets using passive and active interrogation methods. These techniques may prove useful to create a trusted ADS-B network that could one day be used for high-fidelity, automated UAS flights with built in collision avoidance against low-flying and non-interrogated manned aircraft equipped with Mode A/C transponders. |
