| Abstract | This report describes the work performed at the Engine Laboratory to validate the effects of ambient temperature on gas turbine engine performance parameters over a variety of inlet temperature conditions. Data used for this study was obtained from several facilities participating in the Uniform Engine Testing Program (UETP), and from a computerized engine model.
Results indicate that lapse rates do exist for certain parameters such as fuel flow, compressor temperature rise and compressor efficiency. |
