This report presents the results of resistance experiments in calm water, carried out on a simplified planing hull, for a range of speed and loading coefficients. These experiments were a repeat of experiments carried out on a geosim of the same hull at the Stevens Institute of Technology, as part of a systematic series of hulls. The results of the two sets of experiments are compared. The report also presents predictions of porpoising inception for a range of length to beam ratios and deadrise angles for the simplified hull form.
