| Abstract | Laser remelting (LRM) is a complex thermodynamic process that typically yields two main types of surface modifications: smoothing and bulging. These two changes are applicable to polishing and structuring, respectively. This study includes a preliminary analysis on the formation of shape and surface quality of LMR lines obtained with a defocused laser beam. |
