| Abstract | Conceived in the late 1950’s to meet the requirements of experimental work on propulsion systems mainly related to vertical take-off and landing aircraft, the NRC Propulsion Wind Tunnel incorporates several novel features which tend themselves to a variety of applications. The purpose of this note is to describe the capabilities of this unusual wind tunnel and to illustrate its potential by referring to a selection of experimental programs undertaken with or by Canadian industry. |
