Abstract | Video is used to support learning and teaching in several fields. However, most video applications for learning and teaching make little use of digital video. One of digital videos basic features is automatic or manual annotation of visual and audio content and the option of combining these annotations on video to create new multimedia files. Adding annotations opens up all sorts of possibilities for developing media resources to support learning, teaching and research on piano pedagogy. This article provides some examples of applications of video annotation. These applications are discussed within the context of key steps in video creation, i.e., filming, editing, resource management, and distribution. |
