Abstract | The international project between institutions in Canada and Japan has been initiated to improve living comfort for aging society. This paper describes initial study on heavy floor impact sound in living conditions. Subjective responses to floor impact sound have been often investigated with monaural recordings under diotic listening conditions. Authors reported the relation between subjective response and physical indices in such conditions. This study is trying to find realistic evaluation method considering spatial effect on subjective response on floor impact sound with older and young participants. This paper will report the scheme of this study, method of subjective test and materials using for experiments. |
