| Abstract | As in all other spheres of industry and society in general, computer technology will eventually invade the realm of information transfer in the construction industry. The heart of such an information system would be the data base, the bank of information on construction products and techniques which can be stored and recalled. This note describes a number of data bases in use in Europe and North America and outlines potential problems that can be encountered in developing a data base appropriate for the construction industry. |
