| Abstract | This report described the results of experiments carried out at the Institute for Marine Dynamics (IMD) to determine the slamming characteristics of Design 24 of the NRC hull form series for fast surface ships. This was a collaborative project between IMD and the Defence Research Establishment Atlantic (DREA) aimed at carrying out systematic slamming tests on the four parent forms of the hull form series (the others being Designs 6, 12 and 18). Results of experiments on the other models are being reported separately. |
