Abstract | The High Spectral Resolution Airborne Microwave Sounder (HiSRAMS) is a proof-of-concept system consisting of two hyperspectral radiometers targeting the 54 GHz oxygen absorption and 183 GHz water vapour absorption bands. HiSRAMS was flight-tested onboard the NRC Convair-580 over 2021–2022 to evaluate its temperature and water vapour sounding capabilities. A summary of airborne and ground-based observations, as well as example retrievals, are presented. |
